Friday Nights at CBE is a series of Shabbat dinners and meaningful discussions with influential speakers. This Shabbat, we will be joined by the Parents Circle Families Forum.
The Parents Circle Families Forum is a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization made up of more than 600 bereaved families. Their common bond is that they have lost a close family member to the conflict. But instead of choosing revenge, they have chosen a path of reconciliation, inviting tens of thousands of Palestinians and Israelis on their personal journeys.
Through the different works of the PCFF, these bereaved members have joined together to take tens of thousands of Palestinians and Israelis on their personal journeys of reconciliation. These interactions are often raw and always emotional, but through them comes change. Not the kind of change that makes headlines, but a more personal and profound shift in perspective.
Join bereaved members of PCFF, Robi Damelin and Mazen Faraj as they share their stories of loss and their unique choice of reconciliation. Our discussion will look at the human side of the conflict and why relationship building, mutual understanding of the “other side,” and a reconciliation framework is necessary for any sustainable peace agreement.
