Join CBE’s Dismantling Racism Team (DRT)

Founded in 2015, the DRT advocates in alliance with directly impacted groups for reforms to combat systemic racism, particularly in the state and local criminal-legal systems. To address systemic racism in our city, we invite CBE members to jump on board as we work on two critical issues: holding NYC to the planned 2027 closure of the Rikers Island jails; and preparing for the recommendations from the NYS and NYC commissions on reparations to address the legacy of slavery.
