Purim Libations at “The Rusty Grogger” with Anna Solomon, author of The Book of V.

Ahoy, Machers! Immediately following our Kabbalat Shabbat services on Friday night, the CBE Zoom room will transform into The Rusty Grogger, our Purim watering-hole where you may hear Cantor Josh Breitzer’s sea shanty version of a favorite niggun. Grab your noisemakers and help us put the arrrrrr in baruch, while sipping one of our Purim-themed cocktails: The Dirty Vash-tini, Esther…I Hardly Know Her, and Mordechai and Dry (non-alcoholic). At 8 PM, CBE member and acclaimed author, Anna Solomon, will join us to talk about Vashti and Esther, what it means to be a hero as a woman, the role of storytelling in our lives as people and as Jews, and how we tell the stories we need to hear at a given moment.
