FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions):
Absolutely! There is a section on the registration form where you can request friends that you want your child to be grouped with. We compile all the requests and attempt to accommodate as many requests as possible. If the friends are all in the same grade level we are able to group them together most of the time.
Yes! We offer any combination of weekly registration options for families who need that flexibility during the summer. Families will save on the weekly price by registering for multiple weeks, but those weeks do not need to be cumulative, so the price is same for 4 weeks spread throughout the summer as they would be for 4 consecutive weeks.
Campers bring lunches from home. We provide a daily afternoon snack for campers, usually comprised of pre-packaged individual sized juice and pretzels or healthy chips.
All medical forms are due on Friday, June 3, 2022 (or before the first day of camp if you register after that date). The form will be sent to you when you register for camp, it is the standard Department of Health Medical Form. The form must be dated and stamped by a doctor, and the date must be no more than one year prior to the last day of camp, Friday, August 12, 2022.
Yes! We will have staff available at CBE throughout the day to make sure that your child gets to their group in the case of a late drop off, or is ready to be picked up if you need to pick them up early. The more notice the better, so that we can help make the process as seamless as possible.
Not at all! While we always love all of our campers to spend the entire summer with us, we understand that this is not always possible. This is exactly why we offer such flexible weekly options for registration. Many families only register for part of the summer, so your child won’t be the only one who isn’t with us for all seven weeks. Our staff work hard to make sure that every camper feels special, whether they are with us for one week or the full summer.
Of course! One of the best things about CBE is that we have our very own heated indoor swimming pool. We are very happy to offer swimming lessons at CBE Kids camps this summer. Our fantastic swim company partner, Physique Swimming, will provide progressive swimming lessons to all campers throughout the summer. You can find more information about Physique Swimming on their website, here. Physique also offers lessons at CBE throughout the year, so if you would like to sign up your child in the lead up to camp to get them familiar with the pool, there are definitely opportunities to do so.
Yes! All faiths and backgrounds are welcome at CBE Kids camps, and many of our campers are not Jewish. We focus on universal Jewish values and traditions, such as peace, friendship, community, nature and the environment, charity, acts of loving kindness, and the celebration of the end of the week on Fridays. We see ourselves as a community institution as much as a synagogue, and aim to support the whole community.
