Rabbi Timoner Delivers Unity Prayer at African-American Clergy & Elected Officials Breakfast

Senior Rabbi of CBE Rachel Timoner was recently invited to help deliver the unity prayer at the African-American Clergy & Elected Officials breakfast with Rev. Dr. Robert Waterman of Antioch Baptist Church, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, New York State Attorney General Letitia James, NYC Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams, and many more.

In light of the recent anti-Semitic attack at a Hasidic rabbi’s home in Monsey, NY, during which five people were wounded, Rabbi Timoner prayed for unity and peace at the breakfast alongside many fellow Brooklyn clergy members and elected officials.

“We need you. We need your help to stop anti-Semitism now,” Rabbi Timoner said. “We have a shared 2020 vision. Both of our peoples stand together knowing we are stronger and safer when we live in a multicultural society…a diverse society, where every person no matter the color of their skin, no matter their religion, what they wear, how they live, every person is safe and free.”

We are so grateful to the AACEO for inviting Rabbi Timoner and for standing with us during this difficult time.
