4th Grade Remote: Final Set of Lesson Slides

Good morning Yachad 4th Grade parents,

It’s been a wild ride turning Yachad remote together, and now it’s time for our final set of lesson slides for the year. But never fear, we’ll have more Yachad together right afterwards, as remote Camp Yachad begins on May 18. (Keep an eye out for Tehilah’s email, early next week, which will detail Camp Yachad for you!)

Our newest (and final!) lesson: Siyum 2.

Siyum means Completion, as your child will take their 4th Grade experience forwards. On Slide 8, a parent might want to discuss together with the child (if you’re available), as it has questions aimed towards encouraging resilience, as kids and families decide what Covid-times will mean to yourselves.  (It’ll make sense when you get there.)

Our schedule is below. For all Zooms, the Password is Yachad18

Special note: Saturday (tomorrow morning!!) is our 4th Grade pyjama movie party! We’ll watch the Prince of Egypt together, plus a special slideshow of themselves and their friends. Bring snacks and pyjamas if you’d like!

Saturday 5/9

Monday 5/11:

  • (asynchronized, so, whenever works best) Check out Siyum 2. Students can go at their own pace.
Tuesday 5/12:

Saturday 5/16

FAQ: What’s happening during our Zoom hanging-out times? What’s Kahoot? Kahoot is a trivia game, based on our weekly slides, which the students super enjoy! If your child has looked over this week’s slides yet, they’ll know all the answers; if not, they’ll have fun guessing with their friends, and finding what the slides will be about. Since this is our last school-week before camp begins, the trivia will be from all over the year, and we’ll also say lihitraot — so long — to most of our teachers.

Many of the students interact with the lessons and stay in touch with each other by making little videos on flipgrid.  (On the right of that page, it’ll say Topics with a little downwards arrow; click there to navigate all the open discussions.) Enjoy!
