4th Grade Remote: Go-go-go-Yachad
Good afternoon 4th Grade families,
Happy nearly-Shabbat. I’m thinking of you fondly.
Three points of interest this week:
-
The newest lesson for Yachad Remote 4th Grade is out, March 30 – April 3. (We’re finishing up our story of Joseph, with lots of videos, fun activities, flipgrid-filming prompts, family discussions, and more. This week’s story includes the part where Joseph is stuck indoors, like us, and how he uses his dreams and his creativity to not give up — plus, Joseph’s eventual triumph, in which his family is reunited.)
- Fourth Grade teachers all added Zoom times, to help students feel connected with friends and community despite the physical distance between us. You can find our zoom schedule at the bottom of this very email. No passwords are needed, come right in.
- Our daily T’fillah on Zoom is quickly becoming a rejuvenating respite for children and families alike. Each day of the week is geared towards a different age — you’re invited to any day that you wish, but Tuesdays at 4:30pm are especially geared towards the 4th Graders. (So: If any given week is just too much, and you’d like to know what’s the single most impactful Yachad zoom meeting, I’d recommend choosing t’fillah, 4:30pm on Tuesdays, NEW LINK, here.)
As I mentioned to the kids in the newest lesson: these are times of many feelings, during which we’re all going to get many turns to help each other, and to be helped. Getting help and giving help are both great, they’re both heroic. So families, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, feedback, and if there’s any way we can help support your family and your child through this tumultuous quarantine. We’re here for you.
L’shalom,
‘Morah’ Leora
