Club Kef at CBE

Bruchim Haba’im!

That means welcome in Hebrew and you are certainly welcome here. Club Kef is CBEKids’ after school Hebrew immersion program offering an inclusive environment for kids of all backgrounds to engage in creative play and connect with modern Hebrew and Israeli culture.

Staff will speak exclusively in Hebrew, but you certainly don’t need to be a native speaker, though some Hebrew language exposure is helpful. This is a great opportunity for alumni of the ECC’s dual language programs and Camp Kef, or any family looking to strengthen their kid’s foundation of Hebrew language and Israeli culture.

Yalla!

Each afternoon begins with snack time—often featuring Israeli treats—to spark conversation and ease students into the day. Students then check in with their counselors before participating in a rotating Israeli cultural activities including Israeli dance, Krav Maga, time exploring nature (teva), reading, writing, music. Art, creativity and exercise are woven through everything.

Twice a week, kids spend an hour learning Hebrew vocab, grammar, and writing.

Fridays are special. We sing shabbat songs, share a pre-Shabbat meal and invite parents in to join us in our community.
