Learning about Shabbat!
Last Saturday, we learned that Shabbat is a special day for the Jewish people.
We explored what Shabbat means to us, how we celebrate with our families, and talked about what fun it can be to celebrate it with family and friends!
Next Saturday we’ll continue learning about Shabbat and will practice the Shabbat blessings!
Hebrew Through Movement
We learned all of these new words:
לשבת-lashevet- to sit down
לקום- lakum- to stand up
ללכת-lalechet-to walk
לרוץ- larutz- to run
לקפוץ- leekpotz-to jump
The kids moved around a lot and had fun! They got the words very quickly and responded to them. I was very impressed and had so much fun being in the class!
