Make A Wish!

DL K/1st started 2019 off with a great class! We watched some Rechov Sumsum clips to remind everyone of the numbers we’ve learned so far. During choice time, kids could choose between Hebrew word matching, Hebrew letter matching, reading, and a “building” station, where everyone got a chance to work with Play-Doh and pipe cleaners. After choice time, we went into art. Our word this week was kochav/kochavim, so the kids were able to write their wishes for the new year on stars. The kids could then incorporate their wishes into their own sky.

When we come back, we’ll be covering Tu B’Shevat and working on using our Hebrew vocabulary in sentences.

Enjoy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! We hope to see you all on the 26th!

Announcements

Just one brief announcement from Hannah Isaacs, Yachad Teen Educator & URJ Camp Liaison:

On February 9th the Director of URJ Crane Lake Camp, Debbie Shriber, will be coming to CBE to tell us all about Eisner, Crane Lake, and Sci-Tech! This is a great opportunity for students and parents to ask questions and learn about the URJ camping system. We will be providing lunch as the presentation will be directly after Yachad on Saturday February 9th in the Ballroom. Please email Hannah Isaacs at hisaacs@cbebk.org to let her know that you are attending!
