The Four Questions

Last Saturday our First Graders started their unit on Passover, and began to learn the four questions!

Jewish Studies with Ashley

Hi 1st Grade B families,
This week, students began talking about Passover! In pairs, students created physical tableaux based on something they already know about Passover, then other students guessed what aspect of Passover they were portraying. Then we began reading a story about Passover and practicing the four questions. Next week, students will have a substitute as I will be out of state. Students will continue reading the story and practicing the four questions. Have a good week!

Jewish Studies with Tzachi

Hello Kita-Alef Families!

The previous Saturday we started to talk about Passover, the story of Moses, the Isrealites and what god did in order to let his people go. We also started to talk about Leil Haseder, the costumes that we have and why we tel the Ha’Agada.

Next Shabbat we will continue our unit about passover and we will focus about the four questions in the Ha’Agada. Also we will review the simbols on the Seder plate.

See you all next Shabbat!

Ha-Moreh Tzachi.

Hebrew Through Movement

This week in Hebrew through movement, the kids felt that they need to review the previous words, so we went over the words we learned in the past few weeks and played twister again. The word are
red (adom-אדום)
yellow(tzahov-צהוב)
green (yarok-ירוק)
blue (kachol-כחול)
hand (yad-יד)
leg/foot(regel-רגל)
We learned the meaning of the word “al” (on/over).
We all had a great time!
