Last Saturday our First Graders finished their unit on Shabbat!
Last session, we continued learning about mitzvot and we explored the words for different flavors in Hebrew!
After the tefillah (prayer), mitzvot & Torah classes came to a close this trimester, students participated in an informative, interactive session led by representatives from the NYC Commission on Human Rights.
With one week until takeoff, the students were beyond excited to ask questions and talk about our trip.
The 10th Graders are working on their projects for their Chazakah service. The service is Satuday March 23rd and it is a way for the students to show our CBE community what their Judaism means to them.
This week a fellow from Repair The World came to speak to our 7th Graders.
